I spent more time and effort on my physical fitness than building my financial assets during my life, pursuing boxing and as a Navy SEAL. When I began to shift my focus towards finances, it was more on obtaining wealth, rather than maintaining it. So when crisis hit everything collapsed like a house of cards, my business due to outside forces out of my control, my father died at 69 years old due to complications from H1N1, my wife of 21 years left me two weeks later, my health began to deteriorate, I was as low as you can go. The first change I made was digging into the scriptures and concentrating on my faith. I then started an exercise regiment, even though I experience severe joint pain, I then changed my diet, my body responded, my confidence grew, I developed healthier relationships, I've paid off my debts and improved my finances. I teach Financial Literacy, starting with the proper foundation but due to my experience and the understanding of health and nutrition which I've obtained from my experiences, I've began to realize that there is part of the financial foundation below the surface, starts with, faith, nutrition and exercise. Even if you have wealth but lack health, your wealth will be consumed by illness and the deterioration of your health. My intention is to create a culture and community to promote the remediation of this deep seating part of out foundation so we can build more wealth due to increased confidence, rooting in how we feel physically which is reflecting in our businesses and our incomes.
